Ion AmpliSeq™ Custom panels: RNA Gene Fusion design input specifications

For Ion AmpliSeq™ Custom RNA Gene Fusion designs, use the following specifications.

  • A symbol pair has the format [DONOR]-[ACCEPTOR]. For example, to see all fusions with donor gene NTRK1 and acceptor gene TPR, you would enter the symbol pair NTRK1-TPR.

  • The names of the genes, accession numbers, and fusion IDs required use of capital letters.

  • The RNA_REFSEQ, RNA_GENE, and RNA_FUSION labels require the use of capital letters.

  • Gene symbols must follow the HUGO nomenclature. The HGNC standard for human gene symbols requires the use of all capital letters.

  • The header Type,Name in the CSV file is optional and case insensitive.

To add multiple targets at one time, you can use a comma separated values (CSV) file. The CSV file must contain 2 columns. Column 1 must specify the type of the sequence, and must either be RNA_REFSEQ (reference sequence), RNA_GENE (gene), or RNA_FUSION (fusion). Column 2 must specify the gene name, RefSeq accession number, or fusion transcript ID. A header Type,Name is optional. If included, a header must be exactly the two words: Type for the first column and Name for the second column.
