Ion AmpliSeq™ Made-to-Order designs: configuration options
For DNA Ion AmpliSeq™ Made-to-Order designs (Ion AmpliSeq™ Custom panels), you can provide special instructions for primer tube configuration.
Note: Special instructions are not available for RNA Ion AmpliSeq™ Made-to-Order designs. RNA Made-to-Order designs are always delivered as tubes only in the following format.
RNA—5X concentration
12–96 amplicons: 1,000 nM scale – 3 aliquots of 1.5 mL each
97+ amplicons: 250 nM scale – 3 aliquots of 1.5 mL each
For DNA Made-to-Order designs, you can provide the following special instructions when you order the panel.

50X – Spike in
12–123 amplicons: 2,500 nM scale – 2 aliquots of 1.5 mL each
50X concentration is subject to upper oligo limit: 246 oligos, 123 amplicons
5X – Large scale
12–96 amplicons: 1,000 nM scale – 6 aliquots of 1.5 mL each
97+ amplicons: 250 nM scale – 24 aliquots of 1.5 mL each
5X concentration is subject to upper oligo limit: 2,456 oligos, 1,228 amplicons. For larger panels (>2,456 oligos), [concentration]/oligo in nM = ([614uM]/[# of oligos]) x 1000
2X – Large scale
